Our principal aim is to restore the past glories of our country and take a respectable place in the world.
We must equally foster and safeguard our traditional industries so that our cultural heritage is handed on intact to generations to come.
Omani’s add value to mankind by reaching out to others while fostering a culture of openness.
The conservation of the environment is a responsibility of all of us. We must cherish and preserve this beautiful land that God has given us and protect it from unwanted destruction.
I reaffirm the necessity to give tourism a priority. This sector has great potential for growth and for making an effective contribution to economic diversification.
Nothing can deter an Omani, as he instilled pride in accomplishments and hope in capabilities.
We want to show our history by telling the stories of Ahmed Ibn Majed. Discuss our traditional sailing and trading heritage. Visit our Dhow factory in Sur. Interview people who used to sail them to Zanzibar, and so on.
Oman is known to breed the best Arabian horses in the world. We want to show these parts of our heritage that many people are unaware of.
It is not our intent to produce a detailed documentary. But to show enough to create interest, to show the diversity of our culture and to inspire the viewers to continue their own research if they are interested.
Our new generation is raised in an ever developing technological era. It is of course important to take part in but we need to be aware of the risk our traditions as a result could become forgotten.
Thankfully the Ministry of Heritage and Culture is very active to preserve them and we aim to visit these unique events and allow the stakeholders to tell us more about them so that also our younger generation remain connected with our glorious traditions.
Having worked with tourists for nearly a decade, there is one recurring theme that each of them finds especially unique about our nation; our hospitality.
Ofcourse we have beautiful mountains, sea life, wadi’s and desserts but it is our hospitality and openness that makes our country truly one of a kind in the world.
The peaceful mix of cultures in our nation is a recurring theme in our documentary and it will show to foreigners with less knowledge of the Middle East that there is a wonderful and safe location for them to experience the authentic Arab culture.
It is also something that needs to be fostered and handed over to each new generation. We hope to contribute to this by showing its importance and beauty.
Each and every Omani should be proud of the nature that has been give to us and we should do everything in our power to help protect and conserve it. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Health we would like to assist in teaching the importance.
We will show social initiatives to keep our beaches clean.Teach about the preservation of for example our unique turtle nesting areas and show how organic farming and its health benefits has arrived in Oman.
With regards to tourism His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has expressed very clear the importance to promote this sector in order to diversify the economy.
Luxury tourism is an important aspect as we aim to be a first class tourist destination. Oman Air’s business class and our luxury hotels are rated among the best in the world and it is our aim to promote these.
Another important category of tourism in Oman is the outdoors in order to attract Adventure seekers. From rock climbers to hikers, desert to the seas, adventure tourist have a wide variety of options at hand and it is our goal to show them all in the best possible way.
It is also important to show that there is a proper safety network available in case adventurers get into trouble. Therefore we are aiming to work together with the ROP and PACDA to demonstrate emergency evacuations both in the mountains and at sea.
